Working with a specially built device to catch tears, this performance highlighted the passage of ocular lubrication from the face of the performer though to the accumulation of the tears in a tray on the floor some five metres away. The abject nature of the tears origin was transformed over time as the tears flowed down specially made metal rods to the floor where a video camera projected the accumulation on a separate space in the gallery. The performance lasted for as long as the artist was able to hold the rod’s which was about ninety minutes.
