Trio (Red, Yellow and Blue) is a mobile public artwork work for three performers. Commissioned by OSCA, South Australia for the art project Slightly Unusual Experiences, the work seeks to establish a correspondence with an incidental audience who experience the work unexpectedly. The work employs three inflatable, pump-powered small-scaled sculptures that invite visitors to interact with their surroundings and with the unknown and unseen strangers in unique ways. The sculptures allow two people to place their heads into the object and view each other through a tunnel. But to maintain this engagement both performer and participant must keep pumping not too hard and not too soft but just right.
